Almost every room of this wonderful vacation home on Orcas Island offers spectacular views across West Sound, other islands and Wasp Passage. The sunsets will take your breath away. This is a spacious, high bank waterfront home, with a fabulous patio and deck
stretching across the western (water) side - a great space for watching summer boat traffic travel up West Sound to the marina.
A windowed foyer highlights the entry, as does a grand piano. There's a large living/dining room with an open hearth rock fireplace and floor to ceiling windows that bring the outside in. High ceilings and clerestory windows add wonderful volume to the dramatic
architecture of the rooms.
There's plenty of space for entertaining. The large kitchen has a great layout with high end appliances and cookware. The kitchen adjoins a family room with another rock fireplace and a breakfast/game table. There's also a back entrance mudroom/laundry and
convenience bath.
You'll go up a half flight of stairs to the master bedroom with a king bed and luxurious chocolate marble bath (and a tub with a view!) There's also an exit to a private balcony with spiral staircase down to the hot tub on the deck below! Down a half flight
of stairs is a guest bedroom with queen bed and a third bedroom that offers twin beds. Both lower level bedrooms also have doors to the deck and hot tub. (Sorry, the hot tub is available only during the Peak Summer Season.) Two small twin roll up beds are
also available; please note that there is a $50 charge per night per guest when 7 or 8 guests are accepted.
The ferry dock is located at Orcas Landing (just a mile away) where you will find a small grocery, post office, and restaurants plus shops. Venture further up the road about 10 minutes, toward West Sound, to find public beach access near the Orcas Island
Yacht Club. Or continue on up Crow Valley to the village of Eastsound, about 15 minutes, for fine dining, theater, and shopping.
