Orcas Sky Villa is a Northwest lodge with a contemporary edge – with walls of wood and windows, stone floors, and rock fireplaces, it fits into the natural surroundings and offers spectacular views over Cascade Harbor and the historic Rosario Mansion.
It's a place of luminous days and nights, sunshine and moonlight, rainbows and sunsets. With windows and doors open wide onto decks and gardens, passing breezes capture birdsong, the fragrance of fir, cedar, and madrona, the sounds of the sea. Set on a dramatic ridgeline, the windows of this home enhance every main room with a soaring vista of sea, sky, and wooded hills. Expansive decking spans the home on two levels. You'll be captivated by incredible sunsets on the upper deck, wind-shielded by glass-railing and with shade provided by retractable awnings. On the lower deck, a covered outdoor living room is where you might spend a tranquil evening wrapped in a Pendleton blanket. Should you take a strenuous hike in neighboring Moran State Park, the deck with a secluded hot tub will offer a relaxing retreat.
Artistic collectables, custom finishes, and warm woods create an interior atmosphere of unpretentious sophistication. A cozy living room on the entry level encourages conversation by the stone-faced fireplace; possibly a game of cards will be shared at the table by the window. A central dining room links to a fully equipped kitchen with a pantry and island. The kitchen adjoins a second living room with another fireplace and a casual dining area.
Although Orcas Sky Villa can accommodate as many as eight guests, the Rental Rates shown below are based upon no more than six guests occupying the property. The six in your party will need to choose three bedrooms from the four available. It’s expected that one will be the deluxe master suite with king bed, fireplace, and a wonderful limestone-lined bath, located on the entry level. There are also two additional bedrooms on this floor, both with a king-size bed and they share a bathroom with shower. If you wish, one of the king rooms can be closed off, and for more privacy, the fourth bedroom with a queen size bed and private bath may be used on the lower level.
The lower level is the entertainment hub, which includes a media room with large screen TV, surround sound, and stereo. There's an exercise room complete with elliptical machine, treadmill, and inversion table as well as a multi-purpose studio with a fireplace. The laundry room is also on this level.
Orcas Sky Villa offers exceptional space, comfort, and privacy in an incomparable natural setting. Due to the height of decks and ridge, small children will require strict supervision.
If you are booking this home for more or less than six guests, please reference home #214-2, #214-4, #214-8. Please note that Windermere does not provide direct management services for this home. As the owners are frequently in residence, the on-line availalbility calendar and booking option is not available for this property. Please call or email our office with your reservation request and the homeowners will contact you directly to discuss their booking requirements. Guests are required to post a $1,000 security deposit as a condition of renting this home; the option of purchasing a Damage Waiver is not available. (See Policies.) Names and ages of all guests will be required at booking confirmation.
